COCKROACHES

AMERICAN COCKROACH

The American cockroach is the largest of the house-infesting cockroaches. They are active when the temperature is 70 degrees or higher, but they can survive lower temperatures with the right conditions.

GERMAN COCKROACH

The German cockroach is by far the most important and usually the most common of the cockroaches. In addition to being a nuisance, the German cockroach has been implicated in outbreaks of illness and allergic reactions in many people.

ORIENTAL COCKROACH

Oriental cockroaches are sometimes called “water bugs” because they come out of drains, and “black beetle cockroaches” because of their smooth, dark bodies. This species creates a strong smell and is considered one of the dirtiest of all the cockroaches.

BROWN-BANDED COCKROACH

Brown-banded cockroaches get their name from the two lighter bands they have across their dark brownish bodies. The male’s wings are larger than the female’s wings.

Methods of Elimination

Prevention

Two ways we can deal with the situation or a combined process is applied depending upon site, situation and customer convenience:

  • Flushing Out by spraying process
  • Baiting

Do not provide food, shelter and harbourage to them. Keep your kitchen, working area clean.

ANTS

ANTS

Ants are the most common problem facing homeowners in our area. Do-it-yourself treatments can often exacerbate the problem and rarely address the nest – the source of the problem. There are many different kinds of ants such as pavement ants, crazy ants, Pharaoh ants, fire ants, argentine ants and odorous house ants. Our treatments are based on a proper identification.

Ants are easily identified by their elbowed antennae and a distinctive node-like structure that forms a slender waist. Different species have differing characteristics. You can identify an odorous house ant by crushing it – if it smells of coconuts it’s probably an odorous house ant.

Ants are scavengers and will feed on virtually anything. Many ants nest near or along structures such as foundations and sidewalks. They may also construct nests inside your home near water and food sources.

Treatment

Prevention

Spraying the insecticides on nest colonies, sealing them will solve the issue. Sprinkling Banotick Dust will also resolve issues.

Repair all crevices and cracks existing on floor, near the window or door frames, keep the area clean and dry.
